Talking Book Program and BARD
The Talking Books Program (TBP) provides free library services for Texans with blindness or visual, physical, or reading disabilities. Registered TBP users may borrow books and magazines in digital audio, Braille, and large print. Materials and playback machines are mailed to your door, completely free of charge - you won't even have to pay for postage when you return them.
The Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD)program goes hand in hand with TBP, but allows for students to digitally download materials.
For more information about the programs, see the links below. If you would like help setting up an account for an eligible student, please email kvaldez@nisdtx.org.
