District Attendance Guidelines
There may be mornings when it is difficult to tell whether or not your child is too ill to go to school. Click HERE to see a list of symptoms that would require your student to stay home.
Reporting an Absence
If your student is absent, please notify us by phone or email each day, or provide a parent or doctor's note upon your student's return to school.
Requesting a Ride Change
If you have a change of transportation for your student(s), please put the change of transportation in writing. Please include the following information:
- Student's Name(s)
- Teacher's Name(s)
- Date
- Transportation change
Ride changes, including pick-ups from school will be accepted until 2:30 p.m. each afternoon. With the exception of emergencies, the office will be closed to visitors from 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. each day. This will allow us to maintain a secure environment while we prepare for and implement our dismissal routines. Unless emergency circumstances exist, all visitors arriving on campus after 2:30 p.m. will be asked to return to their car or wait on the lawn until our busses have left campus. For example:
- If your child has a medical or dental appointment requiring early release from school, you must make arrangements to sign him/her out of school prior to 2:30 p.m.
- If you have misplaced or need an additional car tag, you will need to obtain the tag before 2:30 p.m. or after 3:10 p.m.
Your child will be dismissed via his/her normal routine UNLESS we receive written documentation from the parent/guardian. We understand that at times, it may be necessary for you to make changes to your child’s dismissal during the school day. For your child’s safety, parents/guardians must contact the school office at 817-215-0650 prior to 2:30 p.m. This advance notice is necessary due to the high volume of families we serve.
